A lot of people often assume Milkbar is a big team, often being reffered to as "you guys" or "hey team". Nah brotha, it's just me sitting alone in a room a lot (of course with the support and help from a lot of people around me at times).
No this isn't what I do full time yet. I've actually jumped around from a few jobs in the background since starting; Art Direction at other brands, a cutter at a Tailor for a Winter and always jumping in and out of hospitality to pay the bills!
The highlight of it all has been being able to work with mates often supported by a bigger company contracting us all to do so.
I had been visiting Roasting for years before properly being introduced to the owners (the Para Family). Eventually my mate Zakk was in between jobs before getting picked up to lead their growing marketing team.
As soon as Zakk started he was interested in running a campaign that would bring us all together and allow us to tell a story about our relationship with Coffee.
Over the past 3-4 months we have been working together not just to bring out the T-Shirts but the whole Breakfast Club Blend Campaign.
I truely believe working with mates is the best lifestyle you could possibly have. It is and will always be a gift. Meetings turned into roasts yet in the end it was all productive and we got the job done.
