Going into this year I wanted to make it clear the person I was aiming to grow into. I pieced together a few figures that embodied the qualities that I aim to emulate.

Ned Brockmann:

Using grit for a good cause, constantly challenging himself. Running along side starting this business has given me a lot of fulfilment, I often compare everything back to running in analogies.

Chris Judd:

Out works the competition. Love the story of him learning to acupuncture himself to have an edge over the competition.

Paul Newman:

There's a lot to be respected about how Newman lived a private life and was a good family man but I mostly just have him up here because I like what this image represents to me. Last year I got into a mindset of being very locked into my goals, this image shows Newman having balance, reading over a script while indulging in a donut

Yvon Chouinard:

Yvon is the owner and founder of Patagonia for those of you who don't know. This year he sold his whole share in the company to fund action against climate change. Literally billions of dollars donated. No one in this industry has ever done something so heroic and selfless. Appreciate the bar he sets

Nate & Alex (ICHPIG):

The boys took me in at 16 years old and let me make a documentary about them with Dylan from GSJ. Really this was just an excuse for me to ask all questions I needed for me to start my own brand in the following years. I remember leaving being shocked by how hard they both worked. This experience is a big reason why I ended up having my brand being manufactured in Melbourne as well.

Nightwing:

Nightwing is a fictional character, he's the prodige to Batman. I make the distinction because Batman can be dedicated but also lives in his pain almost to the point of being self masochistic. I prefer Nightwing as he's overcome shit and moves on from the pain while still being disciplined

Marlon Brando:

Honestly forgot why he's up there. I think he's their more so from a style standpoint, my sensibilities are very much inspired by the 1950s

Frank Sinatra:

Sinatra to me is meant to symbolise absolute class and being a gentleman, truth is he was probably neither but my point stands. I often give the example to my mates that to try improve on stuff like putting my gum in the bin instead of spittin it on the ground or not drinking straight from the 2L milk bottle and pouring it into a glass, I'll think of the class Sinatra symbolises to make the right decision
